Ms. Reed is a person in long-term recovery with over 20 years of sobriety. She is founder and Director of Healing House, Inc., which was established in 2004 to provide quality, safe, Christ-centered transitional housing for women. Through her leadership, the Healing House grew to 13 locations that serve women, men, and children. In the process, she is transforming the community around her. Bobbi Joe has touched thousands of lives in this time frame and more hearts than can be counted. She is a Certified Peer Specialist, a Medication Assisted Recovery Specialist and is also a Trauma Informed Care Facilitator.
Dr. Graham has served in ministry and counseling for 20 years. She established Sarita Lynne Ministries in 2000, which operates faith-based transitional homes for recovering women and men. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts in Christian Counseling, and a Doctorate of Divinity from Full Gospel Bible College, Flint Michigan. She also graduated from State College of Beauty in Bloomfield Hills, MI and is a 2003 Graduate of DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative.
Mrs. Ashby previously worked for five years with Sarita Lynne Ministries and is a Certified Peer Specialist. Currently, she serves as Regional Event Coordinator and Assistant Secretary for the Northwestern Region of the Steering Committee of the Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers (MCRSP), a statewide faith-based coalition for Recovery Support. Teresa previously spent thirty-nine years working as a certified Paralegal and certified Private Process Server in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.
Rev. Liimatta has worked with the homeless and people struggling with substance use disorder for over 30 years. He is founder of City Vision University and of Connecting for Good, both located in Kansas City, Missouri. For over 17 years, he served as Director of Education for the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions. In 1979, Michael founded New Creation Center, a residential treatment center in Atlantic Mine, MI, where served as director for over ten years. He is a graduate of the Inter-Lutheran Theological Seminary and has earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
Pastor Beth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Scriptural Psychology from the Heart of America Bible College. She is the co-founder and Executive Director of Angels of Mercy Recovery House Inc. a transitional living home for single women in recovery from drugs and alcohol. She was ordained as a minister in 1991 and has worked in recovery for 20 plus years. Beth has been a member of KC-SATRSC since January 2011, serving previously as the Chaplain for the coalition.
Angela Wesson is the director of Counselors Obediently Preventing Substance abuse (COPS), a certified outpatient treatment program and three transitional houses for men. Spirituality is the foundation of the program. She received her Masters of Divinity – Christian Education emphasis from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has a Bachelor’s degree in social psychology from Park University.
Rev. Flowers is an ordained minister and has served as pastor over 30 years in three different Kansas City churches. He holds Master’s degrees in Secondary Education and in Guidance and Counseling. He has over forty years of experience in the areas of substance abuse treatment; recovery support; corrections; and re-entry program services with a faith-based approach. Rev. Flowers is a past chair and a founding member of the Kansas City Recovery Coalition and currently serves as Chair of MCRSP (Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers).
Ms. Lewis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been active in the substance use disorder field for over twenty years. She has been with the Division of Behavioral Health since 2015. Previously, she worked with Preferred Family Healthcare, Willowbrook and ReDiscover. Ms, Lewis has a BS in Psychology from Missouri State University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
Ms. Stovall is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor. She earned her MSW at the University of Kansas and a BS in Psychology and Addiction Counseling at Ottawa University. She has the Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the Missouri Credentialing board, as well as the Certified Gambling Disorder Counselor along with other certifications. JoAnn also certified by NAADAC as a Masters Addiction Counselor.
